写真はわたしの３歳から６歳くらいまで住んでいた家の様子で、叔父がモノクロで撮影してくれていた画像をデータ変換して、AI技術でカラー化させたものと、オリジナルのデジタル化の比較対照の画像です。
　やっぱりカラー化画像からは時間超越する「メッセージ性」があり、そういう伝達力というのは、これまでの感覚世界に対してまったくあらたな志向性を気付かせてくれる。さらに言えば、高齢化社会で、こういった「来し方」の再探索には市場性もあると思えます。
　現代はやはりAI技術があらゆる分野・領域で革新のシーンを可視化してきている。そういうなか、自分自身の関わってきた分野について、いわば「再学習」しているところ。わたし自身はこれまでとは大きくスタンスが変わってきたので、こういう最新動向についてちょっと距離感があったのですが、いろいろ調べ始めて興味深いポイントが掘り起こされてきたところ。
　2025/10月末の今の段階で、AI技術業界でのわかりやすい先端企業だと思っていたChatGPTのOpenAIも、いま必死で機能拡張に取り組んでいる状況も見えてきた。
　OpenAIのChatGPT自身が自己のサイトで正直に現状を開示しているのですね。
　そういった状況からいま、AIがどのような領域で強いニーズと直面しているのか、ということも同時に見えてきたように思っています。
　市場が、AIに対して発展可能性を教え導いている、ということなのでしょう。で、そのように状況把握をしてくると、自分自身の関与してきた領域での「方向性」もおぼろげに見えてくる。たぶん多くの業界で、このAI技術をどのように「活用」していくのか、その「想像力」が試されてきている局面なのでしょう。
　自分なりに、いろいろ方向性を試行錯誤してみたいと久方ぶりに思わされている次第。

Even companies considered cutting-edge are now evolving to align with market demands. New possibilities for application are expanding…

　These photos show the house where I lived from age three to about six. They compare the original digitized images with ones my uncle took in black and white, converted to data, and then colorized using AI technology.
The colorized images truly possess a timeless “message,” and this communicative power reveals an entirely new perspective on our sensory world. Furthermore, in an aging society, I believe there is market potential in this kind of rediscovery of the “past.”
Indeed, modern times are seeing AI technology visualize scenes of innovation across every field and domain. Amidst this, I’m essentially “relearning” about the field I’ve been involved in. My own stance has shifted significantly from before, so I’d kept some distance from these latest trends, but as I began researching, fascinating points have started to surface.
　As of late October 2025, even OpenAI—which I considered a clear leader in the AI industry with ChatGPT—is now visibly striving to expand its capabilities.
OpenAI itself is honestly disclosing its current status on its own website.
This situation also seems to reveal where AI is currently facing strong demand.
　It seems the market is teaching and guiding AI toward its potential for development. Grasping the situation this way also allows me to vaguely discern the “direction” within the field I’ve been involved in. Probably across many industries, we’ve reached a stage where our ‘imagination’ is being tested in how to “utilize” this AI technology.
For the first time in a long while, I find myself wanting to experiment and try out various directions in my own way.
