The discovery of the Takamatsuzuka burial mound wall paintings was made in 1972.
\nThe photograph was taken from an exhibition panel at the Archaeological Museum of Kashihara, Nara, and processed by myself in Photoshop.
\nI was a young man of 20 years old at the time, and I had unique feelings toward the courtesans depicted in the mural.
\nIf I had been alive at that time, I would have thought they were simply lovely.
\nI thought they were portraits of actresses from a much earlier era, to which I would have had a strong emotional attachment.
\nI still have vivid memories of the sense of amazement that society felt at the time of the discovery.
\nI still remember vividly how surprised society was at the time of the discovery of the tomb murals.
\nIt is a “medium”, in which the existence of social professionals and artists
\nThe “real” feeling is much stronger than the “real” feeling of the “real.
\nAt the same time, these people also have a much stronger sense of the women depicted.
\nIt is easy to see that they must have had strong feelings for each other (laughs).

\nAccording to the latest research, the date of creation of this mural painting is between 694 and 710, the period of the Fujiwara-kyo capital.
\nIt is a very good indication of the atmosphere of the Asuka Itabatagu Palace period.<\/p>\n

The fact that these girls were painted means that
\nIt gives a strong sense of social dynamism as a background.
\nAlthough today, the surface is covered by an idyllic rural landscape
