The photo shows the Hassamu River channel steps near our house during an early morning walk yesterday. The Hassamu River is a rapid stream with a considerable difference in elevation, and artificial steps like this can be seen in various places. I like the musical \u201ccall of nature\u201d that is typical of the northern regions of Japan, but as the cold weather deepens, these steps also become icicles. This is an active rapid, but this kind of icing can be seen all the time.
\n\u3000In spite of such cold weather, the ducks are still singing cheerfully. The sound of the mountain stream, the icicles, and the ducks’ voices are all mixed together to create a beautiful musical landscape. Winter in snow country is basically monotone, but there is also this kind of haiku-like pleasure that permeates the landscape. As the \u201cWinter Solstice\u201d is coming this weekend, I hope everyone will take care of themselves against the cold.<\/p>\n

\u3000This is a follow-up to the procedural questions about the miner card that I mentioned the day before yesterday. For the record, I am in favor of the Mynacard system. Japan is a country with a world-class national protection philosophy. Emperor Nintoku’s \u201cKamado of the people\u201d tradition is not just a pretty word, but I believe that such an idea actually lives on in the country’s governing structure as a tradition. This traditional concept of \u201cdemocracy\u201d has enabled us to maintain the world’s leading \u201cfamily registration system\u201d as a public good. This system has largely ensured the fairness of Japanese society.
\n\u3000We need to protect this system from modern \u201cthreats. In reality, there have been \u201cattacks\u201d from certain countries that have abused the Japanese healthcare system, and the health insurance system is a flawed system that is not well managed and is easily abused as a social defense scheme. There is no doubt that the miner card is an effective defense against this. We think so.
\n\u3000However, the introduction of a new system involves unavoidable \u201ctrial and error. It also requires the accumulation of empirical knowledge to reach complete \u201cconsistency\u201d because of the IT revolution that is changing the world and the major changes in the communication infrastructure.

According to this document, I had to take some kind of action after 12\/13. In fact, during that period, I went to the hospital, where I received an \u201calert\u201d from the machine that recognized my card, and I had to go straight to the government office without any prior information. The big question is why this notice did not reach me \u201cbefore the deadline\u201d. I don’t remember this happening when renewing a driver’s license.
\n\u3000I myself do not fully understand the details of the \u201cMynacard\u201d system, but what is even more confusing is that the \u201celectronic certificate\u201d function of the card (which must be renewed every five years) exists separately from the \u201cexpiration date\u201d of the Mynacard (10 years), which I wrote about the other day, and there is a time gap between the \u201cMynacard expiration date\u201d and the expiration date.
