\u3000This year we have been engaged in a number of negotiations regarding our 2.0 lot. As a final result, the frontage was widened significantly, and a new boundary demarcation was being conducted by a major company owned by the neighboring landowner. As a housing-related informant, it was the first time in a long time that I was involved in a real estate negotiation, and I have the impression that I was able to accumulate more real-life experiences. I realized that experiencing it for myself would deepen my sense of reality about land and architecture.
\n\u3000The two arrows in the photo correspond to the approximate width of the \u201cextended\u201d frontage. Since the car is parked in the back, you can get an idea of the approximate scale. The existing frontage width is added to this width, so I think we were able to secure a fair amount of width. This negotiation was my father-in-law’s wish and earnest desire, so as a survivor, I feel that I can finally report to his grave. Due to the construction work, the existing trees standing on what used to be the neighbor’s property were cut down. I had put my hands together in my heart and apologized to the trees that were cut down for unavoidable human reasons. Since the rise of agriculture, human beings have been \u201ctampering\u201d with the natural environment in various ways, and this is probably the nature of human beings. Nowadays, it is inevitable to utilize the land for various \u201cbusiness purposes.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, this view direction is the condition of the land that was passed from our house to the other party in the exchange. There were various existing structures here as well, but they were neatly removed.
\n\u3000It seems that the major company on the other side of the street is going to proceed with the project according to their business plan. We are also keeping a close eye on their plans, and gradually putting together our own ideas. Well, I myself am probably not going to be the main person to think about this project because of my age.
\n\u3000However, as the Japanese say, \u201cI’m working very hard,\u201d we are a people who have woven our wisdom and ingenuity around the land. They would have thought of the best crops for agricultural land in the climate and environment in which they were placed. As a result, their attachment to rice, which is essentially a tropical plant, may have created their fundamental ethnic culture.
