The following is an excerpt from the exhibition record of “Japanese Folk House Garden (Kawasaki City)” that I interviewed before.
\nStarting with new construction of a house, extension \/ renovation and roofing replacement are also in the category of general contract.
\nThe etymology of Fukon is a Buddhist word, “to pray for merit.
\nIt means that Zen practitioners work as a whole. ”
\nThere, the work of professional craftsmen and the people of the village community
\nIt was combined with work by mutual aid.
\nIn the roof re-blow, the villagers brought in materials and goods and participated in the construction work.
\nFukon was a collaborative work and a “dating” to build and celebrate a house in a village community. \uff1e
\n<The “general contract book” of a private house has remained since the Edo period. It took a house contract there
\nNot only the actual expenses, but also the names of the people who received assistance and cooperation, the effort provided
\nGoods etc. are described in detail.
\nAid cooperation of the general contract was one “association” in the modern life community,
\nOn the other hand, it had the character of labor exchange. The landlord prepares for a later “return”

Today we live in a capitalist society.
\nBelonging to a “earning” organization called a company that is similar to a living community but completely different
\nAnd he lives in a “residential area” that has almost nothing to do with its existence base.
\nEven working couples live in separate “earnings” organizations.
\nA way of life in which people move between the distances in the form of “commuting.”
\nWe live in Utsuwa, which has a completely different personality from the “private houses” of the early modern period.
\nIt can be said that we are living in a society that is “unrelated” to the community.
\nSo, when we get a house now, we choose a house “company” unrelated.
\nThe construction work will be operated according to the system of the company’s corporate organization.
\nThe client acquires land in an area that is almost unrelated to the way he lived until then.
\nI ask a company that I happened to know about a certain opportunity to prepare a huge amount of money.
\nIt can be presumed that it is a huge cost that is isolated from the cost of “general contract”.
\nIt is probably modern housing that is traded as a capitalist “commodity”.<\/p>\n

New “environmental changes” such as home work and telework have inevitably started.
\nNow, whether or not there will be a change in the overall modern residential architecture.
\nI think we are living in a very interesting social stage.
\nA living environment that is different from the former meaning of “integrated work and housing.”
\nThe element of commuting to a modern corporate organization has diminished
